1. Overview

Car Driver ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles user privacy and data security.

🔒 Zero Personal Data Collection: Car Driver does NOT require user registration, account creation, or transmission of personal information. Your privacy is 100% protected.

2. Information We Store Locally

Car Driver is designed as an offline-first learning application. All user progress data is stored locally on your own device via Flutter's SharedPreferences system. This local data includes:

Progress: Completed lesson progress and road map stops.

Quizzes: Module quiz scores and history.

Bookmarks: Saved/bookmarked lessons.

Checklist: Vehicle maintenance checklist item states (checked/unchecked).

Preferences: Application preferences (Language selection: English/Bengali, Dark Mode toggle).

This data stays on your physical device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with external servers or third parties.

3. Device Permissions

Car Driver requests minimal standard system permissions required to run properly:

INTERNET: Used solely to fetch online typography (Google Fonts) and render embedded WebGL practice views.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network connectivity status for loading web resources.

We do NOT request sensitive device permissions such as Location, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, SMS, Storage access, or Device Identifier access.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

The app integrates the following third-party services:

Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements (banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads). AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. By default, we request non-personalized ads only.

Google Fonts: Used to display high-legibility English (Inter/Manrope) and Bengali (Hind Siliguri) typography.

WebView Flutter: Used to display an embedded local 3D driving practice visualization.

5. Children's Privacy

Car Driver is a general educational application safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions), as we do not collect any personal data from any user whatsoever.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored strictly on your local device, you have complete control over your data. You can delete all app data at any time by:

Clear Storage: Clearing the app storage/cache from device settings (Settings > Apps > Car Driver > Storage > Clear Data).

Uninstall: Uninstalling the Car Driver application from your device.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect policy requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
